- 23: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- 24: Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
- 25: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
- Chapter 2 shot Transcription:–
- 11: And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
- 12: And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
- 13: And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
- 14: When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

- 1: In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
- 2: And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- 3: For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

- 1: Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
- 2: And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
- 3: And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
