- The iPhone 15 Pro has received the lowest amount of five-star reviews compared to other Pro models, according to a new study.
- The study analyzed over 690,000 user reviews.
- Opinions of the base models for the iPhone 15 have been more positive.
It’s been a little over a month since Apple launched the iPhone 15 series. Plenty of time for users to get their hands on the device and voice their opinions on the handset. With minor tweaks here and there, the iPhone 15 family is a safe play for Apple. But early impressions suggest that owners are disappointed with at least one of the models — the iPhone 15 Pro.
For the second straight year in a row, Apple’s Pro model iPhone saw a decline in five-star reviews, according to product review site PerfectRec. In a study that analyzed over 690,000 user reviews, only 73% of customers gave the phone a perfect score. That’s down from the 76% the iPhone 14 Pro earned, which the 14 Pro already saw an eight-point drop from the previous generation.
Based on the data, the 15 Pro has the lowest amount of five-star reviews compared to any other Pro model Apple has ever made. On a positive note, however, the base model and the Plus saw an uptick in five-star reviews from the previous generation.
There’s no concrete information that explains why user reviews are down for Apple’s latest Pro phone. But the Pro models did briefly suffer from an overheating issue before Apple released a patch to fix it. And outside of the USB-C port, titanium frame, and programmable action button, there’s not a big difference between it and the iPhone 14.
Of course, it has only been about a month since these phones landed on store shelves. Opinions can always change as time goes on.
