Check your YouTube revenue

If you’re in the YouTube Partner Program, the Revenue tab in YouTube Analytics shows you which videos are earning the most money and which revenue sources are most profitable. The key metrics card shows your estimated revenue, RPM, and playback-based CPM. Learn how to earn money on YouTube.

View your revenue reports

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left menu, select Analytics.
  3. From the top menu, select Revenue.

RPM

The RPM report shows you the amount of money you’ve earned from several revenue sources per 1,000 video views. RPM is calculated as total revenue divided by total views times 1000.

Playback-based CPM

The playback-based CPM report shows your estimated average gross revenue per 1000 playbacks where one or more ads are shown.

Monthly estimated revenue

The monthly estimated revenue report shows you how much your channel has earned in the previous 30 day period.

Monthly estimated revenue is subject to adjustments due to invalid trafficcontent ID claims and disputes, or certain ad campaign types (e.g. cost-per-day campaigns). If your monthly estimated revenue appears to be fluctuating, it may be due to those adjustments. They happen two times after revenue generation: after one week (giving a more complete estimate), and in the middle of the following month reflecting your finalized earnings.

Revenue sources

The Revenue sources report gives a breakdown of how much estimated revenue has come from each revenue source.

Transaction revenue

The transaction revenue report gives you an overview of your estimated earnings from channel memberships and merch. This report is also available at the video-level.

Top-earning videos

The Top-earning videos report shows you which videos earned the highest estimated revenue.

Ad type

The Ad type report shows what percentage of your ad revenue comes from each ad type. Learn more about the types of ads available on YouTube.

View your finalized earnings

Your finalized earnings are only visible in your AdSense account. Finalized earnings for the previous month are added to your AdSense account balance between the 7th and 10th of each month.

Here’s how to view your finalized earnings in AdSense:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. On the left, select Settings and then Payments.
  3. You’ll see your total earnings for the selected timeframe and your last transactions.
Tax withholding may affect your finalized earnings (if any apply), and the amount withheld is only visible in your AdSense account.
