Mtv video submissions Guidelines

VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS

1. Format: (SD/HD) .mov
2. Codecs: Example – Apple pro res, XDCam EX, DV PAL and or XDCAM HD.
3. Frames per second: 25
4. Audio: Stereo
5. Data rate: 50Mbit/sec or higher
6. The following codecs are also acceptable:

• Apple Pro Res 422/ HQ
• XDCAM HD422 1080i 50 (50mb/s)
• XDCAM HD720p25 (50mb/s)
• MPEG IMX 625/50 (50mb/s)
• DV PAL
• HDV 1080i50
• HDV 720p25
• DVCPRO 50 PAL

How to submit music video to Mtv base

SOUTH AFRICA:

1. Download the “Video Submission Form” HERE. You will need to complete a form ELECTRONICALLY (handwritten entries will not be considered) for each video submitted.

2. Send both your video and your form to:

3. OR you can email a video download link along with the filled out form to [email protected].

NB: Your video needs to conform to the specs outlined in “VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS”.
