God Goes Before Me | Morning Prayer 🌄

My loving and gracious Father,

Your word says in Deuteronomy 31:8 that when the Lord himself goes before me and will be with me; he will never leave me nor forsake me. That I should not be afraid; I should not be discouraged.

 

Heavenly Father,

Right now I ask you to go before me today.

Go before me into every situation I will face, every conversation I will have, and every place I will set my foot. Clear the path, remove obstacles, and make the crooked places straight. Prepare the way for Your favor, Your peace, and Your purpose to be fulfilled in my life.

 

Go before me Lord, in my work. Let Your wisdom guide my decisions and Your strength sustain me in every task. Go before me in my relationships; let love, patience, and understanding flow through me. Go before me in my challenges and battles—fight for me where I am weak, and grant me victory according to Your perfect will.

 

Father, because You go before me, I will not be afraid. Because You go before me, I will not be discouraged. I trust that You are already in my tomorrow, working all things together for my good. Surround me with Your presence, and let Your glory be my rear guard.

 

go before me today before my first word is spoken, go before me before my first task is done, I ask that You lead the way. You are the God who sees the end from the beginning. You know what this day holds — the joys, the trials, the moments of peace, and the moments of challenge. I ask that You go ahead of me, preparing the way for Your perfect plan to unfold in my life.

 

Go before me Lord, into my work. Let Your wisdom guide every decision I make. Give me clarity when I am unsure, and give me diligence and integrity in all that I do. Let the work of my hands bring glory to You, and let my labor bear good fruit according to Your purpose.

 

Go before me into my relationships. Let love, kindness, and patience fill my heart. Help me to forgive quickly, to listen deeply, and to serve others humbly. Where there is tension, bring peace. Where there is misunderstanding, bring clarity. Where there is distance, bring reconciliation.

 

Go before me into my challenges. Lord, You know the battles I face — some seen, some hidden in my heart. Be my defender, my shield, and my deliverer. Fight for me where I am weak. Give me strength where I am weary. Remind me that the battle belongs to You, and that no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

 

Go before me into my fears and uncertainties. When I am tempted to worry about what I cannot control, remind me that You are sovereign. You hold my future in Your hands. You have promised never to leave me nor forsake me. Because You go before me, I will not fear. Because You are with me, I will not be discouraged.

 

Father, go before me in my thoughts and desires. Purify my heart. Align my will with Yours. Let my life today be a living sacrifice — holy and pleasing to You. Teach me to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all other things will be added in Your perfect time.

 

I give this day to You Lord. My plans, my hopes, my concerns — I place them at Your feet. Lead me, guide me, and strengthen me so that in everything I do today, Your name will be glorified.

 

You are the God who watches over me through the night and awakens me with new mercies in the morning. You are the One who sees what is ahead, who orders my steps, who hems me in behind and before, and lays Your hand upon me.

 

Lord, I confess that there are times when I feel uncertain, anxious, and weak. But today, I choose to lay down my fears and place my trust fully in You. Go before me Father — into the places I will walk, into the conversations I will have, into the decisions I must make. You are my Shepherd; I shall not want. You lead me beside still waters. You restore my soul. Because You go before me, I can rest in Your peace.

 

Go before me into my work Lord. Let Your wisdom direct my thoughts and my hands. May I work not for the praise of men, but to bring honor to You. Help me to be diligent, honest, and faithful in what You have entrusted to me. Protect me from distraction and discouragement. Where I feel inadequate, supply Your strength. Where I feel overwhelmed, grant Your calm. Where I succeed, keep me humble, always giving You the glory.

 

Go before me into my relationships. Father, let Your love fill my heart so that I may love as You have loved me. Teach me to listen more and speak less. Help me to be patient, slow to anger, quick to forgive. Where there is division, let me be an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hurt, let me bring comfort. Where there is pride, teach me to choose humility. Heal what is broken, and strengthen the bonds of unity and love.

 

Go before me into my battles. You are the Lord of hosts, the God who fights for His people. I do not face today’s struggles alone, for You are my defender. Go before me against every scheme of the enemy, every snare, every weapon formed against me. Break down walls that stand in my way. Open doors that no man can shut. Close doors that lead me away from Your will. Surround me with Your protection, and let no harm come near.

 

Go before me into my unknowns. You see the future that I cannot see. You know the challenges that lie ahead and the blessings You have prepared. Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. Even when the path is unclear, help me to trust that Your plans for me are good — plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future.

 

Go before me into my heart and mind. Transform me Lord. Renew my thoughts, purify my desires, and make me more like Jesus. Let my life today be an offering, a living sacrifice — holy and pleasing to You. Let every word I speak and every action I take reflect Your love, grace, and truth. May Your Spirit guide me in all things, keeping me from sin and drawing me closer to You.

 

Father, because You go before me, I will not fear. Because You are with me, I will not be discouraged. I will rest in the shadow of Your wings. I will walk in the confidence of Your promises. I will rejoice, knowing that You are my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

 

I give You this day Lord — every moment, every decision, every opportunity, and every challenge. Take it and use it for Your glory.

 

Father, I ask that you go before me not just for today alone but for every day of my life

go before me not only in what I can see, but also in what is hidden from my view. Go before me into the spiritual battles I do not even realize are being fought on my behalf. Send Your angels to encamp around me. Shield me from danger, from deception, from every fiery dart of the enemy. Let no plan of the evil one prosper against me or my loved ones today.

 

Go before me in my weaknesses Lord. You know where I am frail and where I struggle. You see the areas where I am tempted to give in, to give up, or to grow weary. Strengthen me with Your mighty power. Lift me when I stumble. Remind me that in my weakness, Your strength is made perfect. Help me to rely not on my own understanding, but to lean completely on You.

 

Go before me into the hearts of those I will encounter today. Soften hard hearts. Open blind eyes. Use me as Your vessel to speak words of life, hope, and encouragement. Let my life be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Wherever I go, let Your light shine through me so that others may see You and glorify Your name.

 

Go before me into my home Lord. Fill every room with Your peace and presence. Let my home be a place where love abounds, where forgiveness flows, where Your Word is honored. Guard it against every force that seeks to bring strife or division. Bless my family — their coming in and their going out. May Your favor rest upon us.

 

Go before me in my future. I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know that You hold tomorrow. I surrender my plans, my dreams, and my desires to You. If they align with Your will, bring them to pass in Your perfect time. If they do not, give me the grace to let go and the faith to trust Your greater plan.

 

Go before me in my waiting Lord. Teach me to be patient in seasons of delay. Help me to trust that Your timing is always right and that You are working even when I cannot see it. Strengthen my faith so that I do not grow anxious, but rest securely in Your promises.

 

Father, I yield every part of this day to You — my thoughts, my words, my actions, my attitudes. Lead me by Your Spirit. Help me to walk humbly with You, to act justly, and to love mercy. Let my life today bring glory to Your holy name.

 

Father, go before me in my finances. You are Jehovah Jireh — the Lord who provides. All that I have comes from Your gracious hand, and I acknowledge that You are the source of every blessing. Today, I ask You to lead me in managing the resources You have entrusted to me. Give me wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Teach me to be a good steward — faithful in little and faithful in much.

 

Go before me, Lord, into every financial need, every bill that must be paid, every obligation I carry. Open doors of provision and opportunity. Make a way where there seems to be no way. Remove every burden of lack and replace it with Your abundance according to Your riches in glory. Where there is debt, bring breakthrough. Where there is insufficiency, bring overflow. Where there is anxiety over money, bring peace.

 

Father, I surrender my financial plans and fears into Your hands. Help me to trust that You know what I need before I ask. Guard my heart from greed, from worry, and from the temptation to place my security in wealth rather than in You. Fill me with generosity, so that as You bless me, I may be a blessing to others.

 

Go before me in providing for my family’s needs. Go before me in my work and business endeavors — prosper the work of my hands, and let Your favor rest upon my labor. Let every door You open bring glory to Your name, and let every door You close protect me from harm.

 

Thank You Lord, that You are my Shepherd — I shall not want. Thank You that You promise to supply all my needs according to Your riches in Christ Jesus. I choose today to rest in Your provision and trust in Your perfect plan for my finances.

 

go before me in my health.

You are the God who formed me, who knit me together in my mother’s womb, and who numbers the hairs on my head. You know every part of my body, every cell, every breath. Nothing about me is hidden from Your sight. So today, I place my health completely in Your hands.

 

Go before me Lord, into every part of my body — into what is strong and what is weak, into what is whole and what is broken. Bring healing where there is pain. Bring strength where there is weariness. Bring restoration where there has been sickness or suffering. You are Jehovah Rapha — the Lord who heals. Speak Your word over me, and let wholeness come in Your perfect time and way.

 

Go before me into every appointment, every diagnosis, every treatment. Give wisdom to the doctors, skill to the caregivers, and peace to my heart. Let no fear take root in me, for I know that You are with me. Let me remember that my life and health are in Your sovereign hands.

 

Go before me Lord, in my habits and choices that affect my body. Give me discipline to care for this temple of Your Spirit. Help me to choose what gives life and health, and to turn away from what harms me. Teach me to listen to Your Spirit’s guidance in how I eat, rest, work, and care for myself.

 

Go before me in the unseen battles — the worries, anxieties, and stresses that affect my mind and body. Let Your peace guard my heart. Calm every storm within me. Fill me with the joy of Your presence, for Your joy is my strength.

 

Father, I trust that You go before me in every test result, every healing process, every breath I take. Because You go before me in my health, I will not fear. I will rest in Your care, confident that You are working all things together for my good.

 

Thank You Lord, for being my Healer, my Sustainer, and my Strength.

I recognize that without You I can do nothing. You are the vine, and I am the branch. I long to abide in You daily, to walk closely with You, to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Your truth. Lord, go before me in my pursuit of You. Stir within me a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for righteousness. Let my heart be drawn continually to Your presence.

 

Go before me in my times of prayer. Teach me to pray not just with words, but with a surrendered heart. Help me to hear Your voice above all the noise of this world. Remove distractions that pull me away from intimacy with You. Give me the discipline to seek You first in all things and the faith to believe that You hear and answer.

 

Go before me as I study Your Word. Open my eyes to see the wonders of Your law. Let Your truth take root deep within me so that I will not sin against You. Bring Your Word to life in my spirit, so that I may not only be a hearer, but also a doer. Transform my thoughts, renew my mind, and shape my character through Your living Word.

 

Go before me in my battles against temptation. Strengthen me to resist the enemy and flee from sin. Clothe me in the armor of God so I may stand firm in the day of trial. When I am weak, be my strength. When I stumble, lift me up. Let my life be marked by holiness, not by my striving, but by the power of Your Spirit within me.

 

Go before me in my service to You. Use me Lord, for Your glory. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I may serve with humility, with joy, and with compassion. Help me to bear fruit that lasts — fruit that reflects Your love, Your grace, and Your truth.

 

Go before me in my spiritual growth, Father. Deepen my faith. Refine my heart. Increase my love for You and for others. Shape me more and more into the image of Your Son, Jesus. And may everything I do — in secret and in public — bring honor to Your holy name.

 

Thank You Lord, that as You go before me in my spiritual life, You are drawing me ever closer to Yourself. I rest in Your promise that You who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

 

Oh Lord my God, i ask that you go before all my sins.

You know me fully — my thoughts, my struggles, my failures, my hidden faults, and even the sins I am not aware of. Yet in Your great mercy, You still love me and call me Your child. So today I ask: go before me in my weakness. Go before me in my shortcomings. Go before me in the places where I fall again and again, and I long to be free.

 

Go before me with Your forgiveness Lord. Wash me clean by the blood of Jesus. Cover me with Your grace. Let no sin have dominion over me, for I belong to You. Break every chain that keeps me bound — chains of pride, anger, bitterness, lust, fear, greed, or anything that draws my heart away from You. By Your Spirit, give me victory over the temptations that so easily ensnare me.

 

Go before me in repentance. Soften my heart Lord. Help me to see my sin as You see it — not with shame that drives me from You, but with godly sorrow that leads me back into Your arms. Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Lead me on the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake.

 

Go before me in restoring what my sin has damaged — in my life, in my relationships, in my witness. Redeem what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good. Heal the wounds my sins have caused in others, and help me to seek forgiveness where I have wronged. Let Your mercy triumph over judgment, and let Your grace abound.

 

Father, I thank You that You have already gone before me in the greatest way — by sending Jesus to the cross. His sacrifice has paid the price for my sins, once for all. Because of Him, I can stand before You forgiven, cleansed, and free. Help me to walk in that freedom every day, choosing You over sin, choosing life over death, choosing obedience over rebellion.

 

Go before me Lord, and lead me in the way everlasting.

As I step out today — whether near or far, in familiar places or unknown paths — I ask You to lead the way. Order my steps according to Your Word. Let Your presence go before me like a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, guiding me safely wherever I go.

 

Go before me in every journey Lord. Keep me from harm, danger, and accidents. Watch over me as I travel — by foot, by road, by air, by water. Let no evil come near me. Let no plan of the enemy succeed against me. Place Your angels around me, to guard me in all my ways, lifting me up so that I will not stumble.

 

Go before me in my coming back. Let my return be in peace and safety. Let my home be a refuge of rest and joy, filled with Your presence. Bless my going out and my coming in from this time forth and forevermore, just as Your Word promises.

 

Father, I trust that You are my Keeper — the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. You are my shade at my right hand. The sun will not harm me by day, nor the moon by night. You will preserve my life, and You will preserve my soul.

 

 

Lord, go before my family, my loved ones, and my children.

You are the God who watches over generations, the faithful One who blesses our households with Your presence and Your peace. Today, I lift up every person dear to my heart, and I place them fully into Your hands. Go before them Lord — in their going out and their coming in, in their work and in their rest, in their joys and in their struggles.

 

Go before my family Lord, and cover them with Your hedge of protection. Let no harm come near them. Guard them from danger, from sickness, from violence, from every scheme of the enemy. Assign Your angels to encamp around them, to stand guard day and night. Shield them from the snares they cannot see, and deliver them from every evil plot.

 

Go before my children heavenly Father. Bless them with wisdom, strength, and favor as they grow. Lead them in paths of righteousness. Guard their hearts and minds from the lies of this world. Surround them with godly friends and mentors. Let Your Word be planted deeply in their hearts so that they will not stray from You. Protect their innocence, preserve their purpose, and fulfill every promise You have spoken over their lives.

 

Go before my spouse (or future spouse, or partner), my parents, my siblings, my loved ones Lord. Strengthen the bonds between us. Fill our relationships with love, understanding, forgiveness, and grace. Where there is division, bring peace. Where there is hurt, bring healing. Where there is distance, draw us close.

 

Father, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. Because You go before my family and loved ones, I can rest in Your promise: that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, that You will preserve their lives, and that Your favor will surround them like a shield.

 

 

go before every nightmares that is giving me sleepless nights.

You are the God who gives rest to Your beloved. In the watches of the night, when my mind is vulnerable and my heart may be troubled, go before me Lord. Banish every fear, every tormenting dream, every shadow that seeks to disturb my sleep. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind. Surround my bed with Your angels. Let Your presence fill my room, so that even as I sleep, I am safe beneath Your wings. You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

 

Go before my joy.

You are the source of all true joy. Let my gladness spring not from circumstances that change, but from Your unchanging love. Go before me and fill my days with moments of delight that draw my heart to You. Let my joy be rooted in knowing You, serving You, and seeing Your hand at work in my life. Let my joy be my strength, even in times of trial.

 

Go before my peace.

Father, You are the God of peace. Go before me and still every storm within me. Speak “peace, be still” to every anxious thought and troubled emotion. Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. When the world around me is shaken, let me stand firm because You are my Rock. Fill my home, my relationships, and my soul with Your perfect peace.

 

Go before my security.

You alone are my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust. Go before me as my protector and defender. Be my strong tower, my hiding place. Let me not place my security in riches, possessions, or people, but in You, my unshakable foundation. Watch over me when I am awake and when I sleep. Preserve my life, my soul, and my future. I rest in the shelter of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

 

go before me in every area of my life. I lay my entire being before You — my heart, my mind, my body, my soul, and all that concerns me. There is no part of my life that I want to keep from Your touch, no place I want to walk without Your guidance. You are my Lord, my refuge, my rock, my provider, my protector, and my friend.

 

Go before me in my spiritual walk. Draw me closer to You each day. Stir in me a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for Your presence. Teach me to pray without ceasing and to trust You in all things. Let my faith grow strong, unshaken by trials, rooted deeply in Your truth.

 

Go before me in my family life. Bless and protect my loved ones. Let our relationships be filled with love, peace, and unity. Heal wounds where they exist. Build bonds that reflect Your perfect love. Help me to be patient, forgiving, and kind.

 

Go before me in my work and calling. Order my steps. Give me wisdom, skill, and favor. Let my work glorify You and make a difference for Your kingdom. When I am faced with challenges or setbacks, help me to persevere with integrity. Open doors of opportunity according to Your will, and close the ones that are not meant for me.

 

Go before me in my finances. You are my provider Lord. Bless the work of my hands, and teach me to steward what You give me with wisdom and generosity. Break every chain of lack and debt. Pour out Your provision in ways that only You can, so I may be a blessing to others.

 

Go before me in my health. Strengthen my body, mind, and spirit. Heal me where I am weak or broken. Protect me from sickness, and renew my strength like the eagle’s. Help me to honor You with how I care for the body You’ve given me.

 

Go before me in my friendships and relationships. Bring people into my life who will encourage, sharpen, and uplift me. Remove relationships that draw me away from You. Help me to be a faithful friend, full of grace and truth.

 

Go before me in my future. I do not know what lies ahead, but I know You are already there. I surrender my plans, my dreams, and my fears to You. Lead me on the path that brings glory to Your name. Help me to wait on You when the way is unclear, and to follow You boldly when You call.

 

Go before me in my daily choices. Help me to choose what is right over what is easy, what is true over what is popular, what is eternal over what is temporary. Let my life today — and every day — be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You.

 

Father, because You go before me in all these things, I will not fear. I will not be discouraged. I will not be shaken. I rest in Your promises, I trust in Your love, and I rejoice in Your faithfulness.

 

Thank You God for being my constant companion, my mighty defender, and my loving Father.

I give You all that I am, and all that I have, for Your glory alone.
