  • The next One UI 6 beta for the Galaxy S22 will arrive a little late.
  • A Samsung community moderator has confirmed the update is behind schedule.
  • Samsung is using the extra time to squash bugs.

While the Galaxy S23 has already had eight beta versions of One UI 6, the Galaxy S22 is still waiting for its third beta. And it looks like that wait will last a little longer as the update has been delayed.

Samsung released two One UI 6 betas for the Galaxy S22 within the course of a month or so. If the company had kept up that pace, the S22 would’ve likely received its third beta in the very near future. However, a Samsung community manager says that the update is running behind schedule, as spotted by SamMobile.

Although the update has been delayed, Samsung is using the extra time to squash more bugs in the build. While the next beta for the S22 should have fewer bugs, one could argue bugs are expected to appear in a beta.

The release schedule of the betas has been a little all over the place for any Galaxy handset that isn’t the S23. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 just received its third beta days ago, while its processor, the Flip 4, and S21 just entered the beta last week.

On the other hand, it won’t be much longer for the stable version to arrive on the S23. Samsung is currently conducting the final inspection of all betas and has confirmed this is the last week of the S23’s beta program. Owners of the handset could see the stable version of One UI 6 next week. Unfortunately, the company failed to share an exact date for the One UI 6 stable rollout.
