How to LOCK SIM card in Android Phone

Here is how to lock SIM Card to Prevent SIM Fraud

Are you wondering how you can protect your SIM card from being hacked by scammers?

Follow these simple steps to lock your SIM card:


For Android phone users


1. Navigate and click on Settings

2. Scroll to select Security

3. Click on set up SIM Card LOCK, but if you can’t find set up SIM card lock among the options then click on other security settings and click set up SIM card lock

4. To activate the SIM card lock then Click on the LOCK SIM Card.

5. Insert the default SIM Card PIN, 00000 and click Ok

6. Tap on ” CHANGE SIM Card PIN” to change the default pin to your unique 4-digit pin

7. Enter the current default pin, 00000 and click ok

8. Enter your new 4-digits unique SIM card pin and click ok

9. Enter your new 4-digits unique SIM card pin again to confirm and click ok

10. Power off and on the phone to check if SIM PIN is activated.

Note, you will always receive a prompt to insert your SIM PIN each time you remove and insert your SIM into a device or you power on your device,
If you mistakenly input a wrong PIN and your SIM is requesting for PUK, input the right PUK if you have it.

And if you Can’t find your PUK? Visit Your network provider Store closest to you or call thire customer care.
