How to login/access/fix your WordPress wp-admin panel when your site is on “critical error”
When you try to access your wp-admin and you received message like this
“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions”
If you never receive the instructions in your site admin inbox check your spam.
And if it happened that you can’t find the instructions in your mail.
Follow below instructions
1. Visit your website control panel “cpanel”
2. Click on “file manager”
3. Click on “public-html”
4. Click on “wp-content”
5. “Plugins”
6. “Plugins” Right click on your mouse to rename the “plugins” to “plugins new”
7. Click on “rename file” to save your “renaming plugins”
8. Back to your site “wp-admin” and refresh the page.
9. After refreshing the page you will get this below result
That means the “critical error” was cause by one of the plugins.
Now that you have access back to your wp-admin
10. Back to control panel “cpanel” and rename the “plugins” back to how it was “plugins”
11. Click on “rename file” to save your change.
12. Back to wp-admin and activate the plugins back one by one so that you can know the one that cause the “critical error”
When you notice the cause one. Do not activate it again.
